About us

At Rural Air Work, we are a family-owned and operated aerial spreading service based in Central Hawke's Bay. We are committed to providing safe, professional, and high-quality services, no matter the size of the job.

We take pride in our fleet of unique aircraft, including our two pink Cresco and Blue/Yellow PAC XL, which are capable of carrying up to two tonnes of payload. Our equipment is fully equipped with Tabula GPS satellite navigation systems, allowing for precision guidance and online mapping. We are also fully compatible with My Ballance, Ravensdown's HawkEye, and Google Earth, providing transparent proof of placement maps.

We are dedicated to sustainability and have invested in variable rate spreading technology that minimises product waste, optimises production, and reduces environmental impact. In addition, our aircraft are equipped with portable weather stations to provide accurate weather conditions on site, and our loading gear has fully calibrated scales for precise product weighing.

We specialise in the use of Transland-made high-volume spreaders, which are perfect for high analysis and prill products. Our spreaders are factory-built and spread mark certified, enabling us to accommodate application rates up to 300kg/ha.

Safety is our top priority, and we are a fully certified Civil Aviation Authority operator with a working SMS (Safety Management System). We work hard to keep your team and ours safe while minimising the impact of our activities on the environment.

To ensure the safety of everyone involved, it is essential that we are informed of any hazards on your property.
