A slope layer is used over the top of your digital farm map and the fertiliser application rate is determined by the slope gradient usually working with three gradients: 0-10, 10-22 and over 22 or whatever gradients your rep has suggested, the map is then wirelessly uploaded to the plane.

The concept of an aspect map is to indicate the directions the physical slopes face this can then be used to adjust application rates according to the direction of the slope.

This is a way to pin point the areas you want more or less fertiliser when setting up your map we apply the requested rate per hectare for each area in your digital farm the Smart Gate system then automatically adjusts the hopper doors to create a variable rate application.
